We are proud to be able to make improvements to safety, access, and efficiency for our members and employees and share updates with you along the way.

What an amazing time to be doing all of this - including giving our branch a visual makeover as well - as we prepare to celebrate our 75th anniversary next year!

What to Expect if You Visit BCU This Week:  

• "What's the big hole for on the east side of the building?"  It's been fun to hear all the guesses, but the right answer is, "It's for an elevator!" One of the big improvements for our remodel is the addition of an elevator which will help us more safely move equipment, supplies and files (and people!) between the first floor and lower level.  The elevator shaft is currently being installed.
• Please be extra careful as you drive into and around the BCU parking lot as the construction of the elevator has created a bit more disruption to the driveway and parking area.  Thank you for keeping our construction teams and your fellow members safe!
• Updates continue to the outside and inside of the credit union as Phase 2 continues to improve the design and efficiency of our lending areas and finalize our member reception area.

FAQs - Updated August 2026

How long will the remodeling project take?

The entire project will take approximately 9-10 months to complete - starting in March 2026 and ending approximately January 2027. Here's a sketch of what the renovated building will look like from the street. (Yes, that's a new elevator on the east side!) 

What will happen first?

Renovation of the teller line, drive up and the creation of the new entrance was scheduled for remodel first and was completed mid-August. 

Will it be confusing the visit the CU during the remodel?

We are working hard to provide the best experience possible by communicating updates through this site, using signs at our branch and blocking off any inaccessible areas.  And of course, our staff is ready and prepared to serve you as always. 

Will the CU need to be closed during the remodel?

The credit union will work to remain open during the construction.

Where can I park during the remodel?

This is an answer that will change throughout the course of the project, but for now, members will continue to park in the middle parking spots on the north side of the building.
