Remodel

We are proud to be able to make improvements to safety, access, and efficiency for our members and employees and share updates with you along the way.

What an amazing time to be doing all of this - including giving our branch a visual makeover as well - as we prepare to celebrate our 75th anniversary next year!

Be sure check out updates below as well as our Facebook page for current pictures.

What to Expect if You Visit BCU This Week:

  • American Asphalt is on site doing laying and leveling of asphalt, but you will still be able to park and access the credit union!
  • On the inside, the remodeled Member Service area is really taking shape as we plan to debut this area to members in early August.  Behind the scenes (or plastic curtain), the new flooring and trim is being finished, fresh paint is being applied, and the rest of the millwork is being installed.
  • The finishing touches are being put on the drive-up.
  • New siding is being installed on the south side of the building.
  • Our loan team is getting ready to temporarily move to the lower level as Phase 2 will begin in early August.

As always, we thank you for your patience and understanding as we improve the BCU branch so we can serve you better now and into the future!

Current FAQs

How long will the remodeling project take?

The entire project will take approximately 9-10 months to complete. Here's a sketch of what the renovated building will look like from the street. (Yes, that's a new elevator on the east side!)  We'd also like to show you a projection of what the new receptionist area and lobby area will look like.

What will happen first?

Renovation of the teller line, drive up and the creation of the new entrance will be completed first.  During this time, members will continue to enter using the back member entrance (by the steps).  There will be no access to the building from the street side as this is the construction entrance.

Will it be confusing the visit the CU during the remodel?

We are going to do our best to provide the best experience possible using signs and, of course, our staff is ready and prepared to serve you as always. In addition, inaccessible areas will be blocked off, and members are also encouraged to use drive-up as much as possible.

Will the CU need to be closed during the remodel?

The credit union will work to remain open during the construction.

Where can I park during the remodel?

This is an answer that will change throughout the course of the project, but for now, members will continue to park in the middle parking spots on the north side of the building.

Can I still park in the handicap parking spot and use the ramp?

Absolutely.  However, the ramp will now direct you to the member entrance on the north/northeast side of the building as the street-side entrance is currently closed for construction use.  If using this entrance proves to be difficult, we encourage you to use drive-up at this time.
