Protecting personal information and using it in a manner consistent with member expectations is a high priority to everyone associated with Brokaw Credit Union.

To ensure that members can rely on the quality of products and services available, the credit union stands behind the following privacy policy:

• Brokaw Credit Union will collect only the personal information necessary to conduct its business. That means just what is necessary to provide competitive financial products and services, and no more. Personal information includes information collected from applications, transactions with BCU, transactions with nonaffiliated third parties, and information from a consumer reporting agency.
• Brokaw Credit Union will protect personal information. This credit union will maintain strong security controls to ensure that member information in its files and computers is protected. Where appropriate, security coding techniques will be used to protect against unauthorized access to personal records, to ensure accuracy and integrity of communications and transactions, and to protect member confidentiality.
• Brokaw Credit Union will not disclose any nonpublic personal information about members or former members to any third party except as permitted by law or to conduct the business of the credit union.

We recognize and respect your need for privacy and security as you visit our site. When you visit our site to view any pages, read product information, or use our on-line calculators and tools, you do so without telling us who you are and without revealing any personal information. While we do not collect identifying information about visitors to our site, we do use standard software to collect information for the strict purpose of tracking activity on our site. This allows us to better understand how many people use our site and which pages and features are most popular. The only information we normally collect and store is:

Although BCU tries to protect your personal information, BCU cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. You are also solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of any passwords you set up and/or account information.

When you submit personally identifying information via one of our feedback forms, that information is also encrypted, or scrambled, by your browser before it is transmitted back to our web site. This effectively prevents anyone from intercepting and reading any personal information about you. Note that this encryption does not take place if you send us e-mail, but only when you use your web browser with one of our site's forms.

Unfortunately, no data transmissions over the Internet can be guaranteed 100% secure. Accordingly, despite our efforts to protect your personal information, BCU cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, or to or from our online products or services. You transmit all such information at your own risk. However, once we receive your transmission, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems.

Children’s Online Information Privacy
BCU does not knowingly collect, maintain, or use personal information from this website from children under the age of 13. If a child whom we know to be under thirteen sends personal information online, we will only use that information to respond directly to that child, notify parents, or seek parental consent.
